Dr. Anders is a pulmonologist, a doctor who specializes in treating the lungs. He is board certified - in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Internal Medicine.

In the office, we take care of people with asthma, pneumonia, valley fever, persistent cough, sleep disorders, emphysema, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Alpha 1 Antitrypsin deficiency and other conditions that affect the lungs. Our goal is to help our patients gain control of their health. We partner with the individual to help achieve their optimal state of wellbeing. We offer state of the art pulmonary function testing and exercise stress testing as well as the individualized attention that a traditional doctor’s office is valued for.

In the hospital, Dr. Anders assists patients with multiple acute illnesses, including those who require critical care and life support. Continuity of care back to the primary care setting is very important and we facilitate a seamless transition.

Heidi He FNP-C MSN

Heidi He FNP-C MSNHeidi He is a certified nurse practitioner. She joined Comprehensive Pulmonary in 1999. Along with the unique nursing approach, Heidi brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Heidi has hospital and ICU privileges at San Joaquin Community Hospital, the Heart Hospital and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. Back in 1999, Dr. Anders was innovative in integrating a nurse practitioner at the acute care setting. Heidi’s long term service in this setting is a testimony to the strength and quality of patient care she provides.

Heidi He attended Shanghai Teacher’s University in China and later obtained her registered nursing degrees in Bakersfield. She received a Master of the Science of Nursing from UCLA.

Heidi is on the California State University faculty. She is an instructor both for the undergraduate and for the graduate nursing programs. She serves as a lecturer and a clinical instructor. She is also an advanced cardiac life support instructor. Additionally Heidi serves on the Credentialing and Continuing Medical Education Committees for San Joaquin Hospital.

Heidi has earned the right to membership in Sigma Theta Tau International and the Academy of Nurse practitioners. She is also a member of the California and the Kern County Nurse Practitioner Associations.

Our staff is knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. In addition to English, we have staff members who speak Spanish, Chinese and Hebrew.
